I am not familiar with this chain. From their website, it looks more like Price Chopper

No. Not Aand P, more like WF. AandP has their own Fresh Market format. Totally different.

Out of all the message boards/forums I'm on.. I've never heard of this so I wouldn't be interested. I always heard of Trader Joe's being the equal to Whole Foods... and I find Trader Joe's disapointing in most areas.

I have shopped at Fresh Market in South Florida. It is a fabulous chain. The prices are similiar to WF, but the stores are less focused on organics, are smaller and a much nicer atmosphere. They are outstanding. Fresh Market is really nothing like Trader Joes.

                TJ's is nothing like WF.

Check the Florida boards. I have been to 2 Fresh Markets in FL- they are gorgeous stores, with a bounty of the best (and unusual/hard to find) produce, meat, seafood, dairy items, and store- made fantastic baked goods and prepared foods. Lots of fair trade and organic items- everything really high quality. More comparable to Balducci's than to either Trader Joe's or Whole Foods (and I don't find anything similar between the 2 of them). I for one, will be at the door when they open it!

I have shopped at a FM in the south and thought it was great. Had no idea they were opening in Westport. Great news....
