[SAT] Meatloaf Recs

I'm looking for meatloaf recommendations (near-perfect, good, bad and never-again) in the SA area. I've suffered through two miserable days looking for grandmother's meatloaf. Details below.
I have not had a very good experience with meatloaf over the past two days. Yesterday, I had the daily special at Mr Tim's on Presa. Half-way between moist and dry, with a very funky sauce...I swear there were small chunks of pineapple in the thin tomato-based sauce that topped the slice. Very generous portion, but not entirely what i was expecting. [I'll provide a full review of Mr. Tim's shortly]
Today found me at Tommy Moore's on Hackberry. I've had many good meals here, but today's meatloaf disappointed entirely. More dry than moist and covered with a very sweet and chunky pomodoro sauce. Too much sauce, and entirely too sweet. I did taste a clean fork's full of the corn bread dressing from my companion's plate. Absolute perfection.

Had lunch at The Quarry Golf Course (they now have a full restaurant for lunch and dinner with nice dishes) and my guest ordered their meatloaf and loved it. I don't remember what the special ingredients were, but it looked good. The mac and cheese was pretty good too, and big enough for two.

Try Mr and Mrs G's on WW White. I haven't had the meatloaf there, but my co-worker thinks it's great.

If you don't mind some suggestions of places I've heard do a good job w/ down home food ... but I've never tried 'em yet. But it might shorten your search.
        DeWese's TipTop?
        Hoover's Cooking?
        Earl Abel's?
they might be commercial & large ... but I'd even consider Marie Callendar's

I'm going out on a limb here ... just going on recommendations I've had but haven't tried 'em yet. TipTop Cafe?
          Earl Abel's?
          Hoover's Cooking?
These are just places I'd try if I were on the seach. Maybe others can say which might be better.
