My only suggestion:

2 to Glendale Bl.
Glendale Bl to Temple.
Temple to Broadway.
Left on Broadway.

Also do-able on San Fernando Road.

Better yet, how about

Take 134
Continue on 134 when it merges to 210
Exit San Gabriel Blvd
Head south until head explodes with options.

I was suckered into trying House of Joy by a favorable mention on Chowhound a while back. It was terrible. I don't know how they evolved into a three location enterprise. Fortune Inn is OK but I wouldn't go very far out of my way to go there.

there are none, period. Stop your search, head either to Chinatown or the San Gabriel Valley. You are wasting time with even this post, the problem is just that bad.
My only problem is trying to figure out what your favorite might have been, given that there have not been any good ones in this area in forever.

I love Harvest Inn (on Brand near Doran, on the street level of an office building) Nice people and delicious food!

Also Chi Dynasty on Hillhurst in Los Feliz (their relatively new location in a mini-mall) Delicious!!
