am thinking of taking a road trip with 3 teenagers, 2 boys and 1 girl for 2-3 days, but don't know where where to to go..am a big foodie, thus would like to plan the trip around off the beaten path great places to eat, in casual attire....could anyone suggest a trip/route with eating places in mind? if you have any suggestions for inexpensives places to stay as well, I would appreciate that, too!!!

Pittsburgh and Cleveland come to mind. Did a similar trip many years ago with younger kids, and went to brewpubs, pretzel factories, the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh after the Strip, and little places along the way. Sorry can't recall them all, but you get the drift. Go out on 70 west from DC/Baltimore.
The Roadfood site might also give you some assistance.
