Searchable websites for Manhattan bars

secondbecky Jul 29, 2009 01:21 PM

Is there anything like Menupages.com for bars? Citysearch is absolutely horrible. I'm looking for a bar in Midtown near Rock Center or Bryant Park for a quick drink after work. I know the Irish pubs there (and love em) but looking for something more upscale. thanks

NYmag.com also has comprehensive bar listings under nightlife.

if you are looking for an irish bar...try perfect pint. you can sit at a table (or on the roof) withyour own tap.
it's brand new too which is refreshing.

Not sure regarding a menupages for bars, but if it isn't too far for you, Keens would be perfect. 36th btwn 5th and 6th. Six blocks from Bryant Park, fantastic whisk(e)y list and ambiance as widely reported on here.

I know Hounder's normally don't like Yelp, but the filter by neighborhood/category function is pretty useful.

Ex: Yelp.com -> Find Reviews -> Nightlife -> Bars -> Show Filters -> Neighborhoods (I guess your would be Midtown East or Fashion District?)

And then you can further refine your search by bars w/happy hours, good for groups, price range, lounges, pubs, etc.
