TN: 2005 Radio-Coteau Pinot Noir Savoy Vineyard
I really enjoy the elegance of the R-C Savoys. The wine is drinking well at this point, but will probably benefit for another year in the cellar. Nice flavors of cherry and plums, with just a little touch of spicyness of black pepper. Nice smooth tannins, medium length. Quite enjoyable.

Radio-Coteau has been on my list of 'before I die' wines to try. I finally got some Kosta-Browne Pinots in my collection but R-C is a bit harder to get, it seems. Any word on where it might be available by-the-glass in SoCal?

re: Midlife
Agree, the Savoy pinot and Von Weidlich zin are fantastic albeit pricey.
As for tasting RC wines by-the-glass, I think you're out of luck; these are not the type of wines to go in a BTG program.
However, you can email RC and Eric (winemaker) or Paul (Sales Head) will they will most likely get back to you.

re: Midlife
I saw them on Spago''s list a few years back. You could also look at 20-20 or John & Pete's to buy a bottle. Not as concentrated as the K-B wines, especially the K-B single vineyards. IMO, not as consistently good, though I like the Savoy. The R-C syrah is nice too. Opening the 02 R-C Timebervine Syrah for a rhone tasting this w'end.

I haven't been over here to the wine board in quite some time, but the Radio Coteau Savoy pinot is one of my favorites as well. It was this wine that started me paying attention to Anderson Valley pinots, which I've found quite rewarding.
Their Von Weidlich Zinfandel is also one of the more elegant zins I've had lately.
