Midtown East or West takes up a lot of territory. Can you narrow it down any further? Any cuisine preferences? Or avoids? Budget guidance would also help..

Hi, any cuisine is fine and price is not a limiting factor. The main concern is good food and a restaurant that will be comfortable with the 2 kids as they can be a bit rowdy

Considering the possibility that the kids may become a bit rowdy, imo, you need to go to a restaurant that is boisterious. Less likely then to annoy others. I would suggest Virgils BBQ, on 44th St., b/t 6th & 7th Avs.

Well, if price is _really_ not a limiting factor, you might try restaurants with private rooms for parties of that size. Estiatorio Milos comes to mind: fantastic food, beautiful private room set behind glass overlooking the main dining room, where kids two crying or antsy children probably wouldn't upset the rest of the diners. But (a) it's expense-account expensive, and (b) you would probably want to clear with the restaurant first.

What about Landmarc in Time Warner? They have a nice children's menu and the regular menu should please just about anyone.

my favorite place for a group, with or without kids, is Beacon on 56th between 5th and 6th. Great food, great ambiance, reasonable prices, and not kid-unfriendly.
