I'm visiting from Dallas and was wondering if anybody could suggest some must eat places in the area. I will be there from Thurs- Sun. I like and discriminate no food, just tell of your local favorites.

Cheers!

  1. Great Japanese while I was over there, Honda-Ya in Tustin. I wish we had anything like it here in AZ.

    1. You don't say if you will be mostly in OC or if you're splitting your time between OC and LA? I take it you will have a car? Do you want high end ($60 to $100 pp) recommendations along with the cheaper end of the dining spectrum ($10 to $25 pp)? Are you interested in breakfast, lunch and dinner recommendations? Where exactly will you be staying? Where will you be traveling to for pre-planned activities or business meetings during your stay?

All that being said take a look at this thread for some ideas: http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/637615

Two prior threads for OC which may prove helpful to you in planning your trip:

Most of the time will be in LA near Paramount studios and actually Corona and a little bit of time inOC...yeah we'll have transportation so a little drive is nothing. I have a reliable friend overthere, just looking for more options though.

If you look through those linked threads and have either some specific questions about a restaurant mentioned, or maybe something you might be interested in trying out but that is not mentioned in any of those threads/posts, feel free to ask away.

            Corona? Or Corona del Mar?

        2. Brent's Deli....a small drive but well worth it

And of course any In n Out.
