1st time visitor to OC/LA area

I'm visiting from Dallas and was wondering if anybody could suggest some must eat places in the area. I will be there from Thurs- Sun. I like and discriminate no food, just tell of your local favorites.

You don't say if you will be mostly in OC or if you're splitting your time between OC and LA? I take it you will have a car? Do you want high end ($60 to $100 pp) recommendations along with the cheaper end of the dining spectrum ($10 to $25 pp)? Are you interested in breakfast, lunch and dinner recommendations? Where exactly will you be staying? Where will you be traveling to for pre-planned activities or business meetings during your stay?

Most of the time will be in LA near Paramount studios and actually Corona and a little bit of time inOC...yeah we'll have transportation so a little drive is nothing. I have a reliable friend overthere, just looking for more options though.

Great Japanese while I was over there, Honda-Ya in Tustin. I wish we had anything like it here in AZ.
