    Hi qwerty78,

I sometimes give mine a swipe with a lightly oiled paper towel after washing, but I've never had a problem with edges rusting. I do keep paper towels between pans so the edges don't touch, but that is more to keep the enamel in good condition. I have lots of new-ish Le Creuset, but also a couple of 20 year old + pieces, and they are fine.

Not necessary -- the entire piece is primed with a clear enamel, so there shouldn't be any exposed cast iron. The edges just haven't received a finish coat (light beige on the inside and the design color on the outside).

i've noticed that over the years the rim of the pots where they come into contact with the lid tend to get exposed, but I've never noticed that area getting rusty
