Lavender Ice Cream

Does it exist in a market type atmosphere where I can easily go and purchase? I live in the SFV and work in Atwater Village (close to downtown). I had this at Inn of the 7th Ray and fell madly in love . . . .

Not in a market atmosphere and not close to downtown, but so good it deserves a mention in case you're ever on the westside: Go to Anisette. Not sure if the lavender ice cream is the same as the stuff he was serving at Lavande over ten years ago, but it's awfully good.

If you get to Scoops on a day when they have Honey Lavender there, do yourself a favor and buy 5 pints. I wish I had.

Thank you all! I found it at WFM in Glendale and I can't believe I never saw it ... if it was a snake! I will be trying it tonight watching Top Chef Masters. Ohhh HappyGirl!!!

Delicieuse in Redondo Beach makes it. I know Surfas in Culver City carries their products, but I can't recall if Lavender is one of the flavors that they carry - give them a call?

i think you can buy pints of Mashti Malone's ice cream at some WFM locations, but i don't know if they package the lavender flavor...you could always go to Mashti's and buy a pint. Scoops is another ice cream shop that offers lavender as one of their flavors.

I've seen pints of the lavender at Follow Your Heart, I assume Whole Foods might have it as well...
