On the hunt for Double Rainbow Ice Cream.

Oh glorious Double Rainbow - where art thou? I used to be able to pick up a pint at WaWa (chocolate chocolate being the key flavor), but no longer. I have tried all usual quick shop spots, hit the high-end grocers, and contacted the company in SF (no response yet). Has anyone seen this around? Am I the only fan in the Baltimore area?

  1. Trader Joe's has a few flavors. Do you have them in Baltimore?

Annapolis & Towson - worth the drive. Thanks Mike!

Double Rainbow in an ice cream case has nothing in common with the San Francisco store. Try Simplicity at Balducci's which is made in Falls Church. This is the best "store bought" ice cream I've found anywhere.

Here's a link to other Sinplicity sources besides Balducci's:

Minor typo in Joe's post. The name is Sinplicity not Simplicity and the moniker is appropriate based on the sinful decadence of the product.

If you would like to try something sinfully delicious, but your cardiologist is screaming about your cholesterol, taste the Red Sorbet.
