Jackfruit, Guava... where do I find my favorite "exotic" fruits?

franniefrou Jul 27, 2009 07:13 AM

I got back from living in Thailand two years ago and have yet to find Jackfruit in the United States. Any ideas? Where can I find my favorite Asian fruits in MD/DC/NoVa?

One of the larger asian markets - super H, lotto, Fresh World, etc. If you provide your specific location, someone familiar with that area can give more exact advice.

Yes, the Asian markets have great product sections. I know GrandMart in Centreville carries jackfruit from time to time -- durian too!

grand mart in seven corners has lots of exotic fruit, including jackfruit, iirc. i didn't see guavas, but they're so perishable and delicate. (old "giant" location, right across from the syms store).

I saw jackfruit for sale yesterday at the Great Wall supermarket in Merrifield.
