Visiting Manhattan.

I will soon be visiting Manhattan for only one day. I'm looking for a really outstanding authentic non sushi Japanese restaurant.

so far I've been to Yakitori Toto, Aburiya Kinnosuke, Yakitori Torys, Sakagura, Tsukushi and Ariyoshi on East 53rd street.

What do you guys think is the best or one of the best places other than any of the ones that I've been to?

  1. i've been to izakaya ten, en japanese brasserie, kasadela and naka naka lately and enjoyed them. i wouldnt say any are outstanding, but they were fine.

inakaya robata opened a branch in the new ny times building, i havent been, but you may want to give it a try. if you do definately report back on that one!

Maybe I was being bit too dramatic using the word outstanding. I'm just looking for somewhere really good.

    2. Have you thought about Kyo Ya?
