Brooklyn Bakery
I wanted a pie yesterday and thought I could get a reasonably priced, decent tasting one at Brooklyn Bakery on Fifth Ave. The pie was a disaster--a tasteless crust that was soggy on the bottom, filled with big chunks of hard, gloppy fruit that wasn't sweet enough, not tart at all and with no cinnamon flavor. A waste of $14.

thats an Italian Bakery (Royal Crown Offshoot) Im not surprised that they cant bake pies worth beans. Stick with the Italian stuff there is the lesson, I guess. FYI Costco has quite good pies at half the cost and at least twice the size (we cut them into quarters and freeze.
Trois Pomme has very good small tarts with nice buttery crust so likely their big ones are good too - but that would be very expensive.
