best chicken francaise in NYC?
I guessed at a place in Little Italy. Saw that the place was packed so I figured that it had to be good. boy was i wrong. i'm in manhattan until mid august and would like to find a place that has great chicken francaise. was wondering if anyone out there could help me out......????
Bumping your question up because it's an old favorite of mine and I'd like to know myself.

Not in Manhattan....but Tosca's on East Tremont Avenue in the Bronx has tender chicken breast coated in an egg batter with a lemon garlic sauce with just a hint of wine...perfect balance of flavours for me...I enjoy it with a side of angel hair pasta and their thick, chewy crusted bread.

I haven't been in years, but I vividly recall adoring the Chicken Francaise at Patsy's on West 56th Street.

Patsy's is great! Another good version is at Carmine's in Times Square. They call it "chicken with butter and lemon sauce." Try it over angel hair. :o)

maybe too late, but in the italian hood there is a restaurant I used to go to often called Emilio's Ballato that had a good chicken francaise. Its at 55 E. Houston Street, so not in the thick of little italy. I don't have a big chicken francaise game, but i found emilios to be tender/not overcooked and well sauced.
