I am looking for a restaurant for Monday night that is good for a group of six with two vegetarians. Nothing too expensive, but not cheap. There are two vegetarians in the group, but that shouldn't necessarily decide the restaurant. Anywhere in LA, the westside, pasadena, etc. Looking for a fun atmosphere and good food.

i have to admit that i'm not entirely clear on what you mean by a 'fun' restaurant, nor what you meant by 'nothing too expensive, but not cheap.

that said, my stabs at answering your query are:

musha if they'll let you use the back room. many delicious vegetarian dishes.
26 beach for great entree salads and burgers (including homemade veggie burgers). fwiw, i'm not a fan of their entrees, even though i love the entree salads and burgers. they will also serve sides of grilled tofu and breaded warm rounds of chevre to beef up the protein of any of their salads.
antica pizzaria (lots of delicious vegetarian options, but not really a fun restaurant).
almost any italien restaurant will offer several vegetarian dishes.
houston's in manhattan beach has FREE corkage and serves imho, the best veggie burger in town.
i like the food at il forno on ocean park in santa monica, but as with antica pizzaria, don't consider it 'fun.'
c&o trattoria is 'fun' but their food isn't as good as some of the more sedate restaurants.

Well nothing as expensive as Sona or Fraiche, around twenty to thirty dollars per person. And by fun just something with a good ambiance but nothing too loud.

yes, some more details about what "fun" means to you in this context, and a general price range to clarify not cheap but not too expensive would help a lot.

These should fit the bill of vegetarian options, fun scene and moderately priced. I was also trying to add the link to

All'Angelo but it didn't come through.

I haven't been to All Angelo or Blue Velvet, but Rustic Canyon and Gjelina are both great recs. However...my meals at both were definitely right in the Fraiche price range (more like $40-$50/per). But maybe it depends what you order.

Mozzarella Mondays at Jar could be a good fun deal
Chaya Venice or Chaya (in the city) might be fun as well
Lou on Vine if you like wine and shareable plates
Maybe one of the Sawtelle restaurants?

If you go to Musha, consider hitting up Renee's Courtyard Cafe for drinks and music afterward.
