Candy carrots for carrot cake

anneliesz Jul 24, 2009 04:35 PM

Does anyone know if there are any baking stores that carry these? I'm making Carrot Cupcakes for a birthday this weekend and was thinking that could be a fun garnish.

assuming you mean the marzipan decorations that look like carrots, i think you'll have a hard time finding them premade, but they're honestly not difficult to make yourself. a quick Google of "marzipan carrots" brings up quite a few websites (including Martha Stewart's) that provide simple, detailed instructions.

I'll look into it and figure out if I can make them in time. If not this occasion, they would be fun to make later on. Thanks!

I tried to make marzipan and found my first go at it a bit challenging. :) I may make almond croissants next weekend though... Thanks!

Call these folks in Berkeley. If they don't have maybe they know where to find it.
