Best seafood buckets in Charleston, SC?

reubensandperrier Jul 24, 2009 02:19 PM

Hey all!

We're in Charleston right now and looking for a great place to get a big bucket of steamed shellfish, potaotes, crab legs, etc. The kind of place where they just throw the bucket at you and you go to town. Anywhere in Charleston is good location and price-wise.

Thanks!

Have you looked into one of the Crab Shack locations?

From the looks of the online menu, the Crab Shack is dead on:

is the seafood sourced locally or is it a bunch of fried stuff that came in on a Sysco truck?

No idea, sorry, never eaten there. I was just passing on the menu from the website in order to try and help the OP. FYI, its steamed, not fried.

When the tableware can double as gardening tools, I know where I'll place my bets.

Doubt the crab legs are local since Alaskan crab isn't indigenous.
