Rochester, NY - Indian

I am going to be in Rochester this wekend and want to go out for Indian food. Someone suggested Taste of India, but I want the opinions of chowhounds in the area. Is ir great, good, mediocre or bad? If worth going to, do you have suggested dishes? Thanks.

Taste of India is very good and so is Thali. Tandoor on Jefferson Road used to be excellent but can now be disappointing. There is a new place where India Palace used to be (South Clinton in Tops plaza). The name is Mysore Woodlands but I haven't been there yet. Would like to try it though for their dosas.
Some of our favorite dishes are: chicken makhani, lamb saag, chana masala and malai kofta.

India House is OK, but I think Thali of India is the best Indian restaurant in the area.

I used to really like India House on S. Clinton Ave. (near Goodman) when I lived in Rochester, but that was some time ago. More recently I have enjoyed the lunch buffet Thalis of India on Winton Rd. S near Jefferson. Perhaps some current Rochesterians can chip in here....
