Croissant French Toast?

I need a recommendation for French Toast made with croissants (as opposed to white bread, sourdough, challah, etc.)

Non-hotel restaurants.

213, 310, 626 (basically LA or SGV)

Thanks.

Italian Panetone makes a great French toast. It is sold around Christmas time, but if you can find one ...mmm....

Try the peaches & cream or the l'orange french toast at 26 beach. Very Very Great!

Monku, you mentioned you had both a wedding ceremony and reception at the Empress Pavillion a few years ago in one of your blogs? I'm interested in doing this too (having both the ceremony and reception in one place) - can you please let me know how you arrange the ceremony, in particular, to be held at the restaurant? Would very much appreciate any advice you can give. Thank you so much

Many years ago, the weekend of the LA Riots May 1992.
My fiance and I weren't religious so we didn't think a church wedding was for us. A friend of hers is a California Superior Court Judge so she performed the ceremony for free. Twenty tables and everyone was seated for dinner and we had a brief 10 minute ceremony at a podium, hired a friend to play his keyboard and music. They have a dance floor you can rent if you want to have dancing. Think there was a curfew that weekend so we had to be out of there by 9pm.

              Did that help you?
We told the restaurant we were going to have a brief ceremony at a certain time and told them what time they should serve the food. Timing was perfect. I may have mentioned in that post that if it's a Chinese restaurant and they have a set banquet menus, you don't have to select any particular menu, but you can use it as a guidline and tailor it to what you'd like. Since half the people at our wedding were not Chinese we thought a more "Americanized" Chinese menu would be better.

These days anyone can register with the State of California and perform a legal marriage ceremony on a specific date. I imagine you could look on Craig's list and find someone who is registered with the State of California that can perform the ceremony for a small fee. Our niece's brother registered and performed her ceremony.

Thanks for heads up on 26 Beach.

They have croissants in quotes, why? Not doubting you, but just curious ...
