Green Eggplant (Eglinton & Avenue Rd)

Walked by this place on Wednesday night and it was jam packed, a line out the door and lots of people waiting on the sidewalk for a table too. Is it that good?

Tried it last night, I really liked it. Food was fresh and good. Great value too. Service was fine and the place was packed.

Generally I leave there pretty happy. Some good hits, some clear misses, but generally speaking I enjoy going there. Service for me has always been fine, ranging from competent to really quite good.

Nothing is great, most menu items are decent. Service is horrible, portions are huge.

No, it's not particularly good, but it's not awful, either. It's an "everything" restaurant that offers something for everyone, along with plentiful portions. It serves a niche that is lacking in the neighbourhood. It's the second location of the Green Eggplant in the Beach.
