Good websites for kitchenware?

  • 5

Hi,

We just moved and I have to get a lot new things for my kitchen. The only thing we've brought is a few good pans that we invested in. Otherwise, I'd like to get some quality stuff this time around.

I'll be mostly shopping online and I see great cooking sites all the time. But can anyone recommend a few good websites for new, cool kitchen wares?

  1. I really like a site called Breadbox (www.breadbox-sucasa.com). It's not a store, but it has great ideas for kitchen stuff and it directs you to other good sites. I also like King Arthurs for bakeware. And of course, there's always the William Sonoma website.

There is also the Sur La Table website.

Does that mean that you are less interested in sites that sell highquality, but "conventional," cookware, like
      A Cook's Wares, http://cookswares.com/ or
      Professional Cutlery Direct, http://www.cookingenthusiast.com or
      The Knife Merchant, http://knifemerchant.com/ or
      Fantes, http://fantes.com/ ?

Or are you more interested in websites that sell stuff that you are unlikely to find elsewhere, like
      Natural Import, http://naturalimport.com/cookware or
      Fjorn Scandanavian, http://fjorn.com/iittala.html or
      Winterberry, http://winterberry.com/HTML/AGA%20Coo... or
      125West, http://www.125west.com/p-4815-sambone... or
      -- Lord help us --
      Unica Home, http://www.unicahome.com/c120/kitchen... ?

      1. Thanks for the tips! I was looking for both practical sites, like Sur La Table, and the ones with cool things, like Breadbox. You guys just made this process so much better!

        1. My favorite for fun gadget-y stuff is the MOMA Store; http://www.momastore.org/
