Mac & Cheese - Calgary
So, I was just talking to a co-worker, and it turns out that her absolute hands-down favourite meal is Macaroni & Cheese.
Because I'm absolutely bored to tears right now, I figured I'd hop on Chowhound and see if anyone happens to know of places in Calgary that serve a mean Mac & Cheese.
So, has anyone got some recommendations for me? :)

Well, we've tried a couple places since I initially posted this. First one was Avenue Diner, and we were quite pleased with their Mac & Cheese offering. Second trip we went to Palomino. I think our final thoughts were "not bad, not great". It's pretty much in the middle.
Farm is definitely tops on the list, but it's too far away for a work lunch, so we'll have to hit it up for dinner sometime. I'm sure we'll also give Diner Delixe a try at some point as well, and I like the looks of the one on the Vicious Circle menu.

Howdy! Fred. Palomino owner here. Actually, the mac is made with bleu, manchego, plus white and orange cheddar. It's made to order so bechamel is out of the question. I prefer it baked 'cause the cheese gets all burny. Yum. So we throw some cheese on top and broil it to finish it.
Glad you did it though. We try hard.

re: che_fan_le_mei_you
there's an early version of Janice Beaton's mac & cheese recipe on the web (google it, its on the Canadian Living website...). One difference is that the recipe on the web only has 2 cheeses, whereas someone at Farm told me they are using 3: oka, gruyere or gouda, and aged cheddar. I make it quite often and using varying proportions of these and it works out well.
