Poppy's - Burgers in Beacon

Last night I ate at Poppy's, which is at 184 Main Street in Beacon. They've been open for 6 months, but I didn't notice it until now. They have absolutely delicious burgers. The beef comes from cows raised on a farm in Gardiner, and the cheese that they use also comes from that same farm. A 1/4 lb burger is $6.00, and an order of fries which is enough for 2 people to split is $2.50. The prices are excellent for what you get, and pretty much everything is organic. They had a jalapeno aioli as a choice for toppings, and that was great. The chef was very friendly as well. The menu on their website doesn't list everything that they currently have. On the menu when I went there yesterday was a braised short rib sandwich. Aside from ketchup and mustard, they have sriracha sauce to put on your burger or dip your fries in! I highly recommend checking this place out!

  1. Thanks for sharing. I have passed by a number of times but haven't stopped in.

I am a big fan of Woody's All Natural in Cornwall. They are another place using mostly local meats, produce and cheese. They've expanded their menu nicely from the original one of burgers, chicken sandwiches, fries, etc.

Woody's looks really good, I'm not on the other side of the river all that often, but if I'm bored one day I might head over there and check it out...thanks!
