Great Wilmington Restaurants?
Spending a week in August at Figure 8 Island in the Outer Banks. Am told closest city is Wilmington, NC. Looking for a couple nice restaurants close enough to drive to for an evening out- seafood or Italian maybe. Any suggestions?

Figure 8 is a barrier island off the SE coast of NC. It's a long way from here to the Outer Banks.
Nearby, on the way to Wrightsville Beach, you might like Brasserie du Soleil, Portland Grill, and Jerry's.
On Highway 17 in Ogden, Marc's on Market is very reliable.
The private Figure 8 Yacht Club has very good food, but you must be with a member.

Try doing a search...many posts on Wilmington. A lot depends on your desired price range and your definition of close. Downtown Wilmington is about 30 to 45 minutes from F8, I believe. In downtown, try Catch or Circa 1922. In Wrightsville Beach try South Beach Grill.
