Fireball Whisky - Calgary

wmp.dll Jul 21, 2009 06:30 PM

Maybe Chowhound is not the right place to ask this question. But last week a friend was mentioning to me that a while back they had some Whisky that tasted like those little cinnamon hearts. It peaked my interest, and after some googling I have figured out it is called "Fireball Whisky" but their website doesn't mention availability in specific areas. Anyone know if I can pick up a bottle of this stuff in Calgary? I just want to try it, it sounds fairly interesting.

You guys were right. Its rough stuff. I sort of enjoyed it though. Good times, so good I can't really remember most of Thursday night.

Also, you don't have to buy a full bottle of the stuff. Most stores will carry mickeys and 200ml bottles. peter.v is right, it is rough. I'd definitely recommend getting the smaller size.

Yeah I'm just going to pick up a small bottle. If I don't like it, it will just sit in my liquor cabinet until I have some people over who are interested I suppose. Its worth a try I think.

Searching http://www.alberta-liquor-guide.com/ shows 192 liquor stores in Calgary have "Dr. McGillicuddy's Fireball", which is in both the liqueur and whisky categories.

            It's pretty rough stuff.

Every liquor store in the city should carry it. It's marketed as a shooter straight from the bottle.
