Does Pain du Sucre on Rue Rambuteau in Paris Close in August?

Anyone know the answer? I've tried looking at past postings, looked in many guides, even sent PdS an e mail. No luck with an answer. All help fully appreciated.

Too bad. But thanks for the reply. Anything else of similar quality likely to be open? Either nearby or further afield?

When will you be in Paris?

Christian Constant never closes. Neither do the fancy chains -- Lenôtre, Ladurée, Dalloyau, Hédiard. Pichard is open in August. You'll find that the week before August 15 is a very quiet one and the city looks, in some places, abandoned.

Thanks Souphie. I follow your postings with interest. RE; Abandoned Paris. In some ways that is not all bad. We'll have an Atget-like experience.

Absolutely. That's why I usually stay in August. Whoever is there has some time on their hands, good encounters, good times. But if you come for shopping, the possibilities are significantly diminished.

No shopping, luckily, just walking, walking ,walking, exploring neighborhoods, looking, eating drinking. You get the idea.

They will be closed for their summer vacation starting August 3 for 4 weeks.
