Richmond Hound needs Atlanta recommendations
We will be in Atlanta Labor Day weekend for the VT-Alabama game.
Need recommendations for dinner that Friday night. Price is not a significant option. Food and wine list is. A place that takes reservations even better. There will probably be 4-6 of us, no kids. We like steak, seafood, Italian, Southern, Mexican and anything that would fall under continental/New American and the like.
Also need a recommendation for brunch on Saturday. We will be staying downtown near the Georgia Dome.
Thanks all....we went to Rathbun's on Friday night and had a fabulous meal....wonderful food, terrific service, loved the atmosphere and it was perfect for my birthday dinner. I recommend it highly.
Because of football festivities, no brunch on Saturday but ate that the bar at Ray's In the City before the game and it was very good also. Sunday brunch was at Babette's Cafe and it was great as well. Thank you all for your help!
I think Antica Posta for Italian, it is great.
A fun Italian option is Alfredo's on Cheshire Bridge, the food is very good as is the wine. The atmosphere is the fun part, it's kinda Soprano'sish? I love it.
Another great option is Bacchanalia, it is the BEST, never let's you down.
For steak, you would need to venture into Buckhead and go to Bones.
My last suggestion is Restaurant Eugene, also in Buckhead, it is classified as new Southern cuisine, it is very very good.
Hope you have a great time! Let us know where you went and how it was.
Try Rathbun's or if you prefer a steakhouse, Rathbun's Steak. They are both fantastic and a short cab ride from downtown.
If you want to get out of downtown for brunch Sunday, South City Kitchen in midtown does a nice brunch, as does Babette's Cafe, and for something more casual, West Egg Cafe. All are a short hop from downtown.
