Places search problems
Maybe it was my imagination, but I thought for the most part search of Places was fixed. Over the past few days search results have been really screwed up.
Over the weekend I thought maybe there were some changes that were work in progress and I really couldn't pin down what was wrong. Here's the best example ... searching the Bay Area for "Peninsula" resulted in 9 results

There were hundreds of records marked as such, one of the missing records that I can think of is Coupa Cafe which you can clearly see flagged as peninsula

A search of "Silicon Valley" results in one record, and it isn't Coupa Cafe which is also flagged as being in the Slicon Valley.

For the record, I too am frustrated with problems searching Places or "Restaurants & Bars". I've been living with it for a long while now thinking it will change or whatever I'm looking for isn't that important anyway.
But today on the Ontario board I searched using the term "Eglinton". It's a unique street with an uncommon spelling. There are plenty of restaurants on Eglinton or marked as being in the neighbourhood. But I got zero results.

I get 47: http://search.chow.com/search?query=e...
Can you redo your search and paste the URL here, and I'll see if I can spot the problem?
