ISO flourless lemon torte/cake recipe

Have seen some floating around the net; anyone made one that they liked? Want to serve it with berries and whipped mascarpone.

  1. I have been looking for a good recipe too, are you looking for the kind that is like a custard on the bottom and a cake on top? Tried one recipe recently but it wasn't great....
Now if you are looking for a good lemon tart recipe I have a few of those.

No, thinking flourless chocolate cake, but lemon. However, as a back up, I do have a lemony curd cake I have been waiting to try from this board.

Search Nigella Lawson's Clementine Cake. I made it with Meyer Lemons and thought it was dreadful but I'm in a minority; it has many fans.

There are lots of versions of almond lemon torte. i have tried some that don't use the whole lemon, which is more palatable to some. I happen to like the clementine cake, but the texture wears on me after awhile.

The Japanese cheesecake I found on CH is flourless (has cornstarch or tapioca starch) and if you jazz it up with beaucoup lemon rind and a bit of juice as I did is a wonderful lemon dessert. My MIL is still talking about it 2 months later.
