Where is the best place to buy bulk dry beans in Phila?

I'm looking for a place that has high turnover on dry beans in Philly, including the less popular varieties. I usually go to the Whole Foods on South St, which in general is not bad, but I'm wondering if there is anywhere better or cheaper to get good quality, fresh dried beans.

i like to go to the indian grocery store next to the 7-11 on walnut street past 40th street on right hand side (they're closed on tuesdays)
big bags of beans, traditionally used in indian cooking, and the best part is 1 lb bags of spices on the cheap.

If you're talking about the Internation Market, that's on Walnut, between 42nd and 43rd (between Restaurant School and 7-11). But I agree it's a great place to grab beans and spices on the cheap. I like a bunch of other stuff, too, including the mango ice cream.

The Restaurant Depot in South Philly or Manayunk.

Do you need a membership to purchase there? Is there a minimum purchase amount?

          You need a business license.

I haven't been there in a while, but you should check out Essene, at 4th and Monroe (a couple blocks south of South St.).
