Sweet Sue's SEIZED

This bakery and cafe on Mass. Ave. in Arlington had had "For Rent" signs in the windows for awhile even as it remained opened, but now there are orange "Seized" signs in the windows. Haven't seen anything like that in awhile....

Recently the Lobster Tale in Brant Rock had the same huge orange sign.

I think the owner is re-opening the Rock Lobster down the street.

The Lobster Tale? Really? Wow, that place has been there awhile, hasn't it?

He's been there for at least 10 or 15 years. He tried opening another place at the Green Harbor Marina that never flew. Black and Blue or Blue ice. Something like that.

There's another restaurant down the street Garlic that is making a go of it with the locals. Cheap italian eats that's supposed to be pretty good. It's in a spot that's had 10 different restaurants since I can remember.

The owner of the Lobster Tale bought (or leases) the ice cream stand across from Brant Rock Market and is going to try a fast food type place. No one has made that space work either.

Did this just happen? I was at Haddad's in Brant Rock a few weeks back and it looked like the Lobster Tale was still open.

Yeah two weeks ago. I've lived in the summer in MarshVegas for 30 years and have never been to Haddads for the fish and chips. It's a crime.

              Well, I hope you've been to Arthur & Pat's!

Twice a month. I actually went to the Fairview last month for the first time as well. I've heard nothing but mediocre reviews and for the simple stuff I thought it was great.

I think the trick is to not get too fancy.

It was called Blue Water. I hear a group of guys are trying to re-open it with a focus on live music.

Mr. Lobster Tale has some fence mending to do with the locals to earn their trust back If you catch my drift. Interesting rumor on the ice cream stand. How does a guy's restaurant get seized for nonpayment of taxes and he opens another place a few hundred yards away? Strange.
