Finally has opened in the old spot where Pasta Vino was (Kings Hwy). I've been to a few of their other locations, and the food was surprisingly good pub fare. This will be only the second micro brewery in S. Jersey, according to the article. Looking forward to giving this a try.

  1. sounds like a place to try. as for the second microbrewery, i guess that depends if you count princeton as being in south jersey

Even discounting Princeton (home of the Triumph brewpub) as "South" Jersey (I use I-195 as the dividing line but, of course, it's a can of worms subject...), I count two other brewpubs - AC's "Tun Tavern" and the Toms River's "Basil T's" - and one brewery, "Flying Fish".

Note that Iron Hill is brewpub, not a "micro" brewery. In NJ, by state ABC rules, you're either one or the other. The article claimed IH was only the second *brewpub* in South Jersey- I suspect because they were using the list of brewpubs off the Garden State Craft Brewers Guild list- of which neither "Basil T's-Toms River" nor the "Climax Brewing Co." (the latter is owned by the brewer at BT-TR, Dave Hoffmann) are members.

    2. This sounds like a good option when down in that area, thanks for sharing.

      1. Drove by the new Iron Hill Thursday night and it was absolutely packed. The parking lot of the adjacent shopping center was almost entirely full as well. Has anyone tried this yet? I'm sure PJ Whelihans, just around the corner, is taking a punishing from this place.
