Restaurant Question- Leaside

[Franchise]

Looking for information on two places:

Sunnybrook Restaurant - 660 eglinton &

Leonard on Laird drive just off eglinton

Just wondering if anyone has any experience dining at either places and if I can expect a nice relatively quick lunch ~$15-$20.

Had bad experience at Sunnybrook Restaurant ... the spaghetti bolognese that we ordered tasted like chef boyardee. You can find more choices on Bayview south of Eglinton.

Leonard's was the site of the single worst breakfast I've ever had. Horrible food and horrible attitude from management. I second embee's recs for the area.

I agree. Stay away from Leonard's. And stay away from Sunnybrook Restaurant unless you want something like a basic BLT. However, I much prefer the sandwiches at Marvellous Edibles; their sweet potato fries are great, too.

If you are willing to spend that much for lunch, don't bother with either of these places. I'd rather have a pizza at Mamma's in Sunnybrook Plaza.

You can do better for less. In the immediate area, you might try Marvelous Edibles or Olde Yorke on Laird. More choices on Bayview.

Another vote for Marvelous Ediblies...one of my favourite local "go to" places...

I LOVE Marvellous Edibles, really great value for the dollar and always interesting choics. Plus, they have a great brunch with my favourite Eggs Benny in TO for only $9.
