Is there any Retail Kosher Prime Beef?

therealdoctorlew Jul 19, 2009 05:31 AM

Is there any kosher source of prime beef for home cooking? I have been reading that the premium steak restaurants are less busy and prime beef is now reaching the regular retail market. How about for kosher? (New York - Long Island source preferred.)

I know that there are places that have it (Aaron's Gourmet lists it online) just not aware of anyone carrying it as a regular item:

I've heard Fisher Bros. sells it (my sister bought it once, I believe). Not very common. Totally unavailable on the west coast. Here, what they sell even to restaurants ia "choice or better" because there isn't enough prime to differentiate it in their warehouses.
