College kid friendly in Baton Rouge

My nephew is starting at LSU in a few weeks and I'd like to give him a gift card for eating out in Baton Rouge. Looking for casual, good food near LSU campus. Anything from a burger joint to great regional food. Any ideas?

    My daughter liked Louie's and the Mellow Mushroom, which are both very near campus. Will he have transportation?

      The Chimes also has good food and is adjacent to campus as well. You might also post on the New Orleans board, as there are quite a few recs there periodically for B.R.

      Plucker's Wing Factory and Grill is popular with college kids, and close to LSU's campus. Probably couldn't go wrong there. www.pluckers.com
      There are several other stops around LSU that I like, but this one has always been my favorite, and its usually full of college kids, so it would be appreciated I'm sure.
