I'm sure that this is impossible, but I will ask anyway. Is there any place in the area where one can get Spruce Beer?

The beer I am talking about is a soda made from Spruce needles and bark. It is very good and native to Montreal. I'm sure I can't find it anywhere within 100 miles, but I would love to get some.

Yeah, it's totally different. It doesn't taste like a relative to root beer. First, it is as clear as water. Second it is sweet but also dry. It tastes like spruce smells. My wife and others think it tastes like pine-sol - which sounds icky. There is no ickiness to it. It is a very accessible taste, unlike something like Switzerland's Rivella (which I also like). It is something that could be widely popular, but isn't.

Yeah, exactly. If you describe it, it doesn't sound super good, but it is. Hey, we have Birch Beer and Ginger Beer and Root Beer. If you think about it, it doesn't sound so good. Birth Beer tastes nothing like Spruce Beer. As an adult, Spruce beer is the best of the bunch since it isn't heavy and is even dry.
