I have two choices. Etete, because of the attention to detail, nice 'plating' and depth of the menu.
Queen Makeda across the street for more homey, comforting. Excellent shiro, red lentils. Gored gored and kitfo (lightly cooked) are also more to my liking here. More than any other place, Queen Makeda clarifies the link between Ethiopian food and Amercian Soul Food.
I'm far from an expert since I've only eaten at 3 or so restaurants but I really enjoyed Etete. The service was fast, the food was affordable, and really tasty.
I need to explore some more of the restaurants but Etete is my go to spot for Ethiopian. I send out of towners there as well and they usually walk away happy.
