Seafood in Atlanta

On my way to Atlanta next week for a week long business trip. Looking for seafood restaurants around town. Staying at the Hyatt, going to events at the Atlanta Convention Center, no car, but can use taxis for short to medium rides.

Suggestions? Not too expensive please.

Here's some I heard of, but don't know anything about:

Babette's Care

Anyone know/want to comment on any of these?

  1. Nava used to be great, last time I went not so much.

Ray's in the City for seafood has always been great.
I went to Legal Seafoods and it was very good but kinda pricey.
Oceannaire is my favorite seafood restaurant, but it is expensive.

The is a McCormick & Schmick's and it has always been very good, even though it's a chain.

I hope you enjoy your time in Atlanta! and your food.

    1. Babette's is a great little restaurant but not necessarily known for seafood. They might have a special on a given night.
I have had mixed experiences at Atlanta Fish Market, and while I probably wouldn't recommend it, other people I know like it. Same goes for Bluepointe. Both are in Buckhead not really that close to where you are staying.

Repast has great seafood entrees. I would try there for sure.

      1. I would highly recomend Legal Seafoods or Rays in the City would be close to the hotel and a very good bet.

        1. Azio in downtown Atlanta is a great Italian restaurant!

          1. Try Fontaine's Oyster bar in Virginia Highlands for something a little more laid back (bar w/ back patio & good steamed/fried seafood).
