Lunch in/around Positano -- great pizza, reasonably priced?

  • 1

I posted this in an old thread and realized it may not be noticed there so I apologize but I am posting it by itself.

We will be in Naples one day next week for a cruise and we are taking a tour of Pompeii and the Amalfi coast. I really wanted to go to Naples for some great pizza, but the timing does not appear to be right to get there for lunch. It appears we will be around Positano for lunch and the tour operator suggests La Tagliata, which gets decent reviews online but it seems to be a quantity over quality place, and at 25e per person it's more than I really want to spend (and we can eat plenty on the cruise ship). 3 of the 4 of us do not eat shellfish so that is not important, I am happy to have a meal of pizza, pasta and mozzarella.

Is there someplace in or near Positano that I can get a reasonably priced memorable meal? A nice view is a plus. I found a couple of places in Positano that might meet my requirements, Ristorante Valle dei Mulini and Le Tre Sorelle. Any other suggestions?

Thanks.

  1. Check out Lo Guarracino in Positano. The view is heavenly-- looking over the Fornillo Beach.
We enjoyed lunch there, dining on pizza, salad and wine-- which was good. The approach to the restaurant is via a scenic coastal walk.
