Yonge/St.Clair - new restaurants
On the west side of Yonge, just south of St.Clair, there appear be two new restaurants about to open. One was the former Mint, the other Mediterranean Garden.
Does anybody know what is going into these places?

New sign posted on the restaurant that used to be Mint. It's going to be a swarma/donair/gyros place. There's even a website already: http://spinnerssandwich.ca/ Is it a chain? Does anyone know about it?
No news on the other one yet (that used to be Mediterranean Garden)

Had a very respectable Halifax-style donair at Spinners tonight. Perfectly seasoned meat with just enough sauce. The prices were very reasonable and service was great. Excellent french fries too. I've had several donairs at the place on College/Ossington but this one was definitely superior.

If this is better than anything, the other one is doomed!
Just awful.
The 'Spinner' includes 3 french fries (I counted) for the extra dollar.
And the meat comes from a STEAM TABLE - it's not even carved.
Currently my choice for worst dish of the year!
