Does anyone know of any Spanish restaurants in Metro Vancouver? I don't mean Mexican Spanish ... am referring to Spanish-Spanish like tapas bar and such.

There's Senova (which has Spanish, Italian and Portugese influences), Latin Quarter and La Bodega....and soon Judas Goat (from the same folks as Salt Tasting Room).

Did that one on Cambie go? I used to like the patio in the summer... wait, wasn't it called El Patio?

Senova is not so Spanish but not bad. La Bodega is fine after a night of drinking and you want some food,. El Patio was always good - - are they still open?
Hmmm we really need more tapas restaurants here.

A straight Spanish tapas bar would be fantastic. We have a number of fusiony tapas joints (the Bins, etc). That kind of thing is the norm here in this city.

Judas Goat may be the one to wait for. (Sean Heather and the gang at Salt traveled through Spain to do research on the concept). Open in Sept, I hear.
