you know what struck me most about that article? that Kronos puts bread crumbs in their gyro meat - i honestly never even considered the fact that it might contain wheat. i don't eat gyros anyway, but i *certainly* won't even consider trying the meat now!

Why not? What's so bad about wheat? Most places serving meatloaf add bread crumbs, you wouldn't eat that either?

no, actually, i wouldn't...because it would make me sick - i'm gluten-intolerant. i didn't mean to imply there was something inherently wrong with wheat, i'm just so used to posting about gluten-free stuff that i figured most CHers who are familiar with my posts would know what i meant. apologies!
