Your best bet for variety close by is Plaza Mexico (where La Huasteca is).
Besides the food court on the second floor, there are a number of restaurants in the complex. There are two places in the food court that serve the elusive cemita poblana.

Elusive, I have seen places on 3rd street near the 710 frwy and one or two others in East LA. There is Ruby's on San Fernando Road & Los Feliz, in the same strip as Dinah;s Fried Chicken. The truck in front of Smart & Final on Venice. Elusive, no, gots to use your nose and sniff it out. I think there is even a vendor at the Breed St. Food Fest on thursday, friday, saturday and sunday.

We found this place pretty randomly. It was pretty tasty.
