Charlotte -new veg restaurant?
I've heard talk of a new vegetarian restaurant called Real Food Charlotte opening but the only thing I can find on the internet about it is a news article from June saying they are opening mid-July. http://www.charlotteobserver.com/busi...
Anyone know any more and if they are open yet or if they have a website?

I went to Real Foods Charlotte today and had a delicious lunch! There are 5 or 6 breakfast options and 5 or 6 lunch options. I forgot what the name of my dish was, but it was bread and hummus with avocado and mixed green salad with pieces of mango mixed in. Very tasty. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
My only disappointment was although their menu was fully vegan, all of their desserts/pastries were not! Seems odd that it would be all vegan except for the desserts. They did have some raw vegan energy bars in with the desserts, but in my book energy bars are not dessert. It is very easy to make vegan cookies and muffins, which is what they had as options. I almost ordered a cookie assuming it was vegan, and I'm glad I verified it first. -

I had breakfast there yesterday. I'm about as carnivorous as a guy can get and yet I really enjoyed it very much. The menu in addition to being vegetarian also features raw food. I had the Swiss Mussili ( kind of a raw oatmeal) topped with a medley of sliced organic fruits and moistened with some vanilla flavored almond mild. The cereal was tasty and kept me full until lunch time. I felt good about being health conscious and enjoyed trying something different. I plan to put Real Food into my regular rotation.
