Is there a place for good fried chicken in Montreal?

mzalce Jul 14, 2009 01:13 PM

I am not talking KFC. I think for such a cosmopolitan city we are missing good places for soul food or even good diners.

I would love to have the Popeye's franchise here.

I would classify that as an urban legend.

            (n) urban legend: a story that appears mysteriously, spreads spontaneously in various forms and is usually false although it is popularly believed to be true.

Yeah. Thanks for the vocab lesson.

Are you saying that ange et ricky's fried chicken is not good?
Are you saying that ange et ricky don't, in fact, serve fried chicken?
Are you saying ange et ricky doesn't exist?

I prefer the fried chicken at Casa Creole on Victoria. They also have very good rice, and an excellent hot sauce.

But if you want really awesome fried chicken, you'll have to convince my hubbie to open up a place! Hmmm, it is time to ask him to cook some up for me....

Oh my! I love Popeye's. It has absolutely nothing to do with KFC. I also wish I could get a biscuit somewhere on the island! Oh well!

I still like the "bronzed" chicken place on Lincoln near Guy.

I had Poulet Bronzé just once, but it was so greasy that i've never gone back. AFAIC their chicken is no better than the Poulet Fritou you can get at two-for-one pizza places.
