Portland and/or Seattle tasting tour with kids: ideas or book

Hi. Would love to hear your ideas or book suggestions for a detailed guide to a morning or afternoon's walk in August for Portland and/or Seattle. In Portland, my tween kids want to check out Voodoo Donut and another place featured in Man Vs Food.

You don't need a book to have a memorable gustatory adventure at Pike Place Market. That's a nice walk away from Top Pot Doughnuts, too, and Dahlia and Macrina Bakeries.
Jump on the (free) bus in the tunnel under Macy's and ride down to Chinatown, where the eating tour begins all over again. Pho Bac!, Green Leaf, and many, many, more. Don't miss Uwajimaya (for groceries, mostly, though they also have a food court).
