Local Food/100 mile diet - Ottawa

Going to be in Ottawa in a few weeks and would like to eat at a nice restaurant that highlights local foods and/or the 100 mile diet.

Being a market gardener/lamb farmer, my husband and I are really in to these types of eateries.

Any suggestions would be great. I have done a lengthy search, but didn't come up with anything.

Thanks all!

    1. Here is a link to a list of restaurants that are members of Savour Ottawa and are generally concerned with serving a high percentage of locally sourced foods:

      1. Definitely Sweetgrass Aboriginal Bistro, which is probably the best restaurant I've eaten at in Ottawa:

Make sure to make a reservation, or you could be in for a substantial wait depending on the night.

        1. Domus Bistro, Les Fougeres, Beckta and Wellington Street Gastropub are a few that I know that like to base their menu around regional/Canadian food. Ottawa doesn't exactly have the ideal climate for the 100 mile diet and few people I know get hung up about some hard limit, but those places all appear to source their food from producers in Ontario, Quebec or other places in Canada.
