Sigiri Sri Lankan Cuisine
52 Lincoln Highway
Edison NJ 08820

Also located in NYC

Good news, food was a wonderful surprise.
Bad news, think the location in NJ is only take out.
Not sure how long they have been here, a small store on Rt 27 North, with a bright orange sign diagonally across the street from the LouCas strip mall.

Everything is made to order – it took about 30 minutes for our meal to be ready!

Ski Lankan cuisine is a cross between Southern Indian and Thai food.
The owner’s family is originally from the coastal town of Colombo in Sri Lankan.

Aapa aka Hoppers – these are bowl shaped pancakes, similar to an Indian Pessarattu served with egg and a delicious dry spice, sambol. Very Good

Curry and Rice Fish Combo - Good
Curry and Rice Veggie Combo – AMAZING
Both of these were served with 4 different veggie sides, and a curry sauce.
The owner did take the time to explain everything but cannot remember specifics.
Ordered medium spice level.
Personally enjoyed the veggie combo more than the taste of the fish combo.

The bottled Apple Sri Lankan Ice Tea was also delicious.
If you have the opportunity to take out this is a great choice.
Can’t wait to return to try other items on the menu but it is frustrating that there are no tables inside the restaurant.
Maybe a road trip to NYC is in order.
