I know tons of places where I can buy a shawarma machine (Charlie's Fixtures, etc), but I am interested in renting one. Does anyone know where I can do this? Also, what are some general prices for renting one?

Thanks!

Try Rick's Enterprises in Burbank or North Hollywood, I think. Have no idea of the prices.

Is this to use at home? Keep in mind that a commercial rotisserie is more than likely set up for 208v power and/or a commercial gas line. That might complicate your rental scenario.

But no reason you can't pull of shawarma at home. Does it have to be a vertical spit, or can you live with a horizontal rotisserie? If you can, check out this company: http://www.ezqueinc.com/ They have dealers who rent (none in L.A, per their website), but it might be worth calling.

They make several lines, including the Hobo, which starts at $90. For that kind of money, just buy one.

It would be for home use.

Interesting idea about the rotisserie... my family owns a machine that can roast a lamb (basically a bed of coals with a spit and a big motor). I might just try to make it on that, although I was really hoping to go vertical.

Thanks Professor!
